Team River Runner (TRR) is holding a Volunteer Organization meeting 6-8 p.m.Tuesday, April 19 in the second floor Health and Technology Conference Room at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown to train volunteers to assist with a TRR program at Leaser Lake.
TRR is a national organization helping disabled
veterans and civilians get involved in all styles of kayaking.
Thanks in part to the work that’s been done on the Leaser Lake Accessible Recreation Area, TRR is going to start a Lehigh Valley Chapter, and they are looking for volunteers to help out. Once they get the group started, meetings most likely will be held at Leaser Lake.
On Sunday, April 24, TRR will hold an in-water training session at the Quakertown YMCA pool. The Leaser Lake Heritage Foundation is planning to sponsor an event at the lake on Sunday, May 22.
