Get your cameras ready and prepare to use The Great Outdoors as your backdrop.
The third annual Lehigh Valley Hunting & Fishing Extravaganza Photography Contest sponsored by Cabela’s will be judged Aug. 27 and 28 at the 11th annual outdoors show once again being held at the Kempton Fairgrounds.
“The photo contest theme this year is ‘What A Wonderful World’,” explained Jeannie Carl, the coordinator for the photography contest. “We’re just trying to inspire photographers to get out there and take a long look at their world. The photos can be a sunrise, a sunset, a child playing in a puddle, a dog, whatever. We just want photographers to get a sense of what’s around them and connect with it.”
The contest features three categories: Wildlife; Macro; and Landscape, and people can be in the landscape to make the shot more interesting.

The 11th annual Lehigh Valley Hunting & Fishing Extravaganza, sponsored by Rothrock Motors, Horwith Freightliner, Cabela’s, Hatfield Quality Meats and Stihl, will take place 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27-28 at the Kempton Fairgrounds in Kempton, Pa.
The family-friendly, kid-friendly outdoors show has something for everyone, even the family dog with the Top Dog hunting challenge.
