Weaknecht Bow Fair Highlights LVHFE

This may be year 11 for the Lehigh Valley Hunting & Fishing Extravaganza, but the Weaknecht 50-Target 3-D Bow Fair surpasses it and then some.

 

Weaknecht’s Bow Fair is one of the big draws to the annual hunting, fishing and everything outdoors show that will be held at the Kempton Fairgrounds 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday Aug. 27 and Sunday,Aug. 28.

Bow hunters from miles around will be honing their skills in real-life hunting situations throughout each day in Weaknecht Bow Fair’s challenging 50-target, 3-D Course set up in woodland, hillside, rolling grass field and raised stations.

Love is what we need as a society

In this grand age of America dividing itself in opposites between I’m right so you have to be wrong, whether it’s on gun control vs. 2nd Amendment; Hillary vs. Donald, Tea Party vs extreme liberals, I pray that we find the middle of the road, the common ground using one guiding principal from Paul in his letter to the Corinthians: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is love.”
 
Unless you want to argue about that, too.

Get your cameras ready and prepare to use The Great Outdoors as your backdrop.

The third annual Lehigh Valley Hunting & Fishing Extravaganza Photography Contest sponsored by Cabela’s will be judged Aug. 27 and 28 at the 11th annual outdoors show once again being held  at the Kempton Fairgrounds.

“The photo contest theme this year is ‘What A Wonderful World’,” explained Jeannie Carl, the coordinator for the photography contest. “We’re just trying to inspire photographers to get out there and take a long look at their world. The photos can be a sunrise, a sunset, a child playing in a puddle, a dog, whatever. We just want photographers to get a sense of what’s around them and connect with it.”

The contest features three categories: Wildlife; Macro; and Landscape, and people can be in the landscape to make the shot more interesting.
